Karen Colville is a contemporary Nature Artist. A West Coast Scenery Painter of mood, light, calmness, tranquility in her landscapes with considerable skills in oil and watercolor. Her subject strength is recognized by her Collectors is landscapes, in recent years those of Western Canada. Karen also creates audio art as music enhance her visual art with special performance. She is also recognized in slow fashion and fiber textile design.

Her early Visual art works were of rural life in Ontario and Quebec, Canada. In the early stages of Karen's art career, she was educated in Toronto OCAD Fine Arts and Emily Carr Vancouver, Fine Arts. Karen as an independent artist, representing Canada, as an emerging Artist, she traveled international to learn about ancient art history with cultural immersion, cultural practices and to exhibit at prestigious events.

Karen's love for nature is recurring themes in her art are about peace and solitude in the Western Landscape. Certain places are considered as sacred as much as supernatural to have the ability to increase our sense of peacefulness, in an unpredictable world.

Since a teenager, I sketched daily. I picked up my first brush at 4 years of age.
